SMALL GROUPS: A small group can make a big, big difference in your walk with God. There are things that God can work into us in the company of a small, committed group of brothers and sisters that He cannot (or simply does not) work into us any other way. Solo time with God is critical. Public worship with the larger body of believers is equally critical. Many, if not most, of us at Calvary Chapel of the Harbour are doing pretty well on those two fronts. However, many of us may be missing what He could do in us if we were part of a small group. Many Christian leaders have emphasized the importance of, “the one, the few and the many”. We all need “the one”--that is, our alone time with God; “the few”-- a small group to support, encourage and challenge us; and “the many”--regular public worship with the larger, local body of believers. CHILDREN: Welcome to finding out about our Children's ministry. The overseer of this ministry is Pastor David Hellman. The Lord has graciously provided us with a wonderful team of helpers who have a heart to reach the children with the love of Jesus. Our hope is that every child who comes in our doors will know that Jesus loves them and will choose Him as their Lord and Savior. Presently our teachers for Sunday School are Pete, Tom, Robin, Mary, and Mini. Our Aides are Todd, Lori, Mandi, John, and Charissa. Tuesday night Bible Study, we also have Children's ministry available in which Dave and Charissa or Eddie and Vanessa help to minister. The last Tuesday of the month is potluck, in which there is no children's ministry, yet children are definately welcome. Infants through sixth grade are encouraged to join us for both Sundays and Tuesdays. Jesus has put a love in our hearts for the kids and we desire to bless them. MORE...
