Dear Harbour Family

We are excited to announce that Calvary Chapel of the Harbour will be opening our church doors again for in-person services beginning Sunday, May 31st, along with over 3000 other churches in California.  The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has declared that houses of worship are “Essential” and calls on all governors to immediately open them up. Attorney General William Barr warned governors that coronavirus restrictions by state and local government should be applied evenly and not single out religious organizations. Michelle Steel, Orange County Supervisor Chairperson, has additionally given permission for churches to assemble.  It is our Constitutional right to assemble and practice our faith in person. Furthermore, we feel that Hebrews 10:25 still applies today, “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” At a time when people are fearful, lonely and in crisis, the church more than ever needs to minister to others in person for their spiritual health and wellbeing.  Link to Letter sent to Governor Newsom from Tyler & Bursch LLP
